How to become a member

                Application forms are available on payment of Rs. 2/- each from the library office. A person who desires to be a subscriber has to be recommended by a Gazetted officer or a life member or a first class member of more than one years standing or by some one acceptable to the Hon. Secretaryor has to produce an authenticated proof of identity along with the application. He shall fill up the prescribed application form and deposit it with the librarian along with the entrance fee, security amount and subscription as shown below:

                Institutional members, life members and first class members are allowed to take 4 volumes, second class members 2 and third class members 1 volume, at a time. On admission the applicant will receive a membership card. Any change of address has to be duly intimated to the librarian.

Subscription

                Subscriptions are always payable quarterly in advance on the 1st of January, April, July and October every year. In case of Admission during a quarter the subscription for the remaining months of the quarter alone need be paid in advance, and in case of resignation during a quarter, subscription for the remaining months of the quarter, shall be refunded. For this purpose, subscriptions shall be calculated on the basis of calender month only.

Membership Tickets

                A member will be given as many tickets as the number of books which He/She is entitled to borrow. The Member-ship Card is to be produced when borrowing books, and when required by the Library Staff while making use of the Member's Room and the book room. Loss of tickets must be reported to the Librarian immediately in writing.Duplicate readers tickets will be issued at the discretion of the Libration on payment of Rs. 10\- for each tickets. Duplicate membership card will be issued on payment of Rs. 5\- for each card. Neither books nor tickets shall be lent to another paerson. Books from the reference library and current issues of periodicals will not be lent. Members are responsible for the books borrowed on their tickets. Borrowers will be required to pay for or replace the books lost or returned in a damaged/mutilated state books should be checked before they are taken out of the library, and the defects if any should be immediately reported to the staff on duty.

Reservation

                Members can reserve the books which are not readily available on the shelves. Reserved books which are obtained will be notified every Tuesday and may be borrowed by the allottee on any day till next sunday. If not claimed in time, they will be alloted to the next claiments in order.

Duration Of Loan

                All books on loan must be returned at the expiration of a fortnight. They may renewed for a further period of fotnight, provided they are not reserved by other members. However, the books must be brought to the library for renewal.

Overdue Charges

                You are expected to return borrowed volumes on or before the due date stamped on the issue label. If they are not returned when due, an overdue charge of 25 Paise per volume per day would be charged. Those who return any book for more than two months without getting them remewed will not be permitted to borrow any more books until the overdue books are treturned, and the ovrdew charges cleared.
If a book is lost while in permission of a member, He/She shall intimate the fact to the librarian immeiately, and should either replace or remit the codt of the books (as assessd by the librarian) within one week after such intimation, if the fact that book is missing is intimated after the due date for the return of the books, or if the member does not replace the book or pay its cost within one week after the intimation, the person concerned is liable to pay overdew charges also along with the replacement of the book or the remittance of the cost.

Withdrawals

                Withdrawals of membership shall be made in writing the prescribed form and shall be presented at the office one week before the commencement of the calender month from which the withdrawal is desired failing which he will continue to be charged the usual subscriptions. The security amount is returnable on termination of membership it is liable to adjustements towards the cost of lost or damaged books or arrears of sunscriptions and overdue charges.
